About Daniel

Daniel Hager attended Le Rosey from 1982 to 1990, completing the Swiss Matura Type C. He led the Hager Group as CEO from 2008 to 2023 and now serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The family-owned company employs around 13,000 people worldwide and generates over €3 billion in revenue, offering leading electrical installation and smart building solutions under the Hager brand.

Daniel holds key leadership roles in the electrical and digital industries in Germany and France. He serves on the Executive Board of the ZVEI and is President Elect for 2026, and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the French FIEEC. He also sits on the Executive Committee of the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 2022, he was named EY “Entrepreneur of the Year.” As a Saarland Ambassador and Chairman of the Peter and Luise Hager Foundation, he remains actively engaged in his home region.

Before joining the family business in 2003, Daniel worked in electrical engineering and renewable energy at Eaton Electrical and Plambeck Neue Energien AG. He studied at the Solvay Business School in Brussels, the University of Paris X Nanterre, and EAP/ESCP Europe, graduating as a Diplom-Kaufmann with a Master’s in International Management.
