Ashwin has over 23 years investment experience in private equity, mergers and acquisition, asset management and strategy. Over his career has advised on/invested in excess of US$23 billion in Asia, Europe, the Americas and Australia.

Most recently, at UBS AG, in an internatiomal role, he led cross functional teams that provided global institutional, sponsors, corporate clients and family offices with integrated strategy, investment banking and management and capital markets advice and solutions.
Ashwin was also the CEO of Pitt Capital Partners Asia. Pitt Capital Partners is a private equity firm and merchant bank owned by Washington H Soul Pattinson (WHSP). WHSP is a 130 years old Australian Investment firm that controls a portfolio of public traded businesses worth in excess of US$12 Billion. Before Pitt Capital Partners Asia, Ashwin joined ABN AMRO N.V, as Director of Global Financial Institutions where he led M&A, equity and debt capital market activities for global financial institutions and corporate
clients. He was also involved in the banks proprietary transactions. He reported directly to the Vice Chairman and the
Board.
 

Ashwin started his career with American Express and spent over 10 years there. He held many senior leadership positions in banking, investments and strategy, and ended his tenure reporting into the CEO of Global Financial Services.

He has been educated at and is an alumni of Columbia University Graduate School of Business (MBA), London Business School (MBA), and Harvard University
